Alyssa Borja (BHS&MPhysioP)
Client Services Manager, Vivir Healthcare
As Client Services Manager, I play a key role in developing and innovating Vivir Healthcare’s services. Vivir Healthcare is a leading provider of healthcare solutions in the aged care sector, providing allied health and nursing services since 2000. I collaborate with our national clients to ensure our services continue to deliver positive outcomes for consumers.
My passions lie in innovating our services whilst keeping the consumer at the centre of design. This passion stems from my belief that caring for those who once cared for us, is one of the highest honours. As a physiotherapist, I understand that reablement and wellness initiatives will help to shape a world where older people are enabled to live the life they want.
A key project of mine is to develop outcome-driven frameworks of assessment that can be used to evaluate reablement and wellness services. Selecting quality of life outcomes that resonate with consumers, such as perceived levels of control and independence, can assist providers to communicate the value of services, increase engagement and improve consumer experience.
An outcome-driven approach is embedded within the allied health professions. Empowering and establishing this workforce as a key part of aged care assessment teams will lead to more effective wellness and reablement interventions.
